Thousand Cankers Disease Survey
In 2011, a total of 27 sites were surveyed for walnut twig beetle and thousand cankers disease, in 16 counties. These surveys were site visits to campgrounds and nut growers/walnut plantations to look for signs and symptoms of TCD. TCD was not found in Nebraska. NDA inspectors have also been contacting sawmills and nut growers across the state to gather information about their stock sources and facilities.
