2006 Urban Farm
Tour
This year the Nebraska Agricultural Youth Council (NAYC), once again, hosted its Annual
Urban Youth
Farm Tour near Wahoo, Nebraska. The Council brought 120 fourth and fifth graders
from West Lincoln Elementary School to experience a day on the farm. The students got to
experience a hog farm, dairy farm, cattle farm, sheep farm, and a grain farm.

NAYC member Andy Jobman explains to the students how a cattle squeeze shoot works.

NAYC member Cassie Thomas explains about the production of sheep.

The students get a chance to watch a lamb get sheared.
