LINCOLN - Are you a creative Nebraskan? If you answered yes, then the Nebraska Department of Agriculture, Poultry and Egg Division, wants to hear from you.

All Nebraskans are invited to participate in this year's egg artistry contest. The winning egg will be featured in the 2008 White House Easter Egg Display.

The Nebraska Department of Agriculture, Poultry and Egg Division, is looking for decorated eggs depicting one or more special feature(s) of Nebraska. In previous years, artists have adorned eggs with landscapes, state symbols, beads, feathers, grain, and various other designs representative of Nebraska.

Entries for the contest are due August 20, 2007. The eggs will be on display for public viewing and judging at the University of Nebraska State Museum (Morrill Hall) on the UNL City Campus (14th & U Streets) from August 21 through October 1, 2007.

Only Nebraska residents, including previous winning artists, are eligible to compete. Both amateur and professional artists are encouraged to participate. Contestants must contact the Poultry and Egg Division at the address below to enter the contest and receive specific contest criteria.
