LINCOLN - Greg Ibach, Director of the Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) today announced the selection of the members of the Nebraska Agricultural Youth Council (NAYC).

The NAYC is comprised of college-age men and women who are responsible for coordinating numerous agricultural learning experiences for Nebraska youth including: a farm tour for urban youth, visits to day care centers, and the annual Nebraska Agricultural Youth Institute (NAYI).

"The Nebraska Agricultural Youth Council members were chosen based on their understanding of the importance of the agricultural industry in Nebraska," said Director Ibach. "The Council will be sharing this understanding with other Nebraska youth throughout the year."

NAYC members include:

• NAYC Head Counselor Joseph Holoubek will serve as the NDA Ag Youth Coordinator, where he will assist in the coordinating of all NAYC activities as well as NAYI 2008. Joseph is the son of Mark and Willow Holoubek from David City.

• Andrew Jobman is the son of Terry and Nancy Jobman of Gothenburg.

• Whitney Davis is the daughter of Tim and Jill Davis of Lincoln.

• Kasey Wagner is the son of Gary and Kathy Wagner of Winnetoon.

• Derek Jagels is the son of Mark and Suzanne Jagels of Davenport.

• Cody Dvorak is the son of Jeff and Cheri Dvorak of Stuart.

• Dana Christensen is the daughter of Bruce and Cheryl Christensen of Hardy.

• Kyle Clymer is the son of Kent and Gina Clymer of David City.

• David Jobman is the son of Terry and Nancy Jobman of Gothenburg.

• Nora Spath is the daughter of Jim and Mary Spath of North Bend.

• Leigh McPheeters is the daughter of Scott and Patti McPheeters of Gothenburg.

• Tyler Pieper is the son of Kent and Marilyn Pieper of Farnam.

• Spencer Bolte is the son of Greg and Cynthia Bolte of McCool Junction.

• Sarah Knutson is the daughter of Dewaine and Denise Knutson of Palmyra.

• Joanne Kaslon is the daughter of Jerome and Marcene Kaslon of Ashton.
