The mission of the Entomology Program, Bureau of Plant Industry, is to protect Nebraska's agricultural, horticultural, and environment from the introduction and establishment of plant pests, and facilitate the export of Nebraska plants and plant products. This is accomplished by conducting plant pest (insects, plant diseases, and nematodes) surveys, plant quarantine compliance inspections, plant pest eradication programs, nursery stock certification programs, and the certification of plants and plant products for export.
